Black Bear Hunting

We put a lot into our bear hunts and with the proper weather conditions, expect our guests to enjoy a near 100% success rate on a weeklong bear hunt.

Our 86,000 acre Bear Management Area borders a huge provincial park and no bear hunting zone. What this means to you, is that you are hunting virtually UN-hunted animals, exclusive of other bear hunters. Size of bears range all the way into Boone and Crockett or Pope and Young class. Colors range from jet black to chocolate brown, red brown, blonde….

Everybody shoots at our target range of 70 yards and has to hit paper before we take you hunting. Come prepared. We will help you if needed but practicing beforehand is critical to your success.

The season opens mid August and runs until the end of October. September is our overall favorite bear hunting time but being in such a fantastic hunting area, we see bears from the beginning of the season until the end. Most of the hunting gets done over bait sites that have been maintained for weeks before you arrive. Combine your bear hunt with wolf hunting or fishing at no additional charges except the licenses.
